Course discussed the starvation of Saudi Arabia and the destruction of Mecca and Medina…
A course taught to US military officers considered that a ‘total war’ on the world’s Muslims, using ‘Hiroshima’ tactics, may be necessary to defeat Islamic terrorism.
The course has now been withdrawn, and the officer who led it, Army Lt. Col. Matthew A. Dooley, is currently under investigation. However for more than a decade future US military leaders were taught by a ‘cabal’ of anti-Muslim terrorism ‘experts’, who believed that defeating the threat to America was not simply down to defeating al Qaeda, but to defeating Islam itself.
The course materials have revealed the shocking extent to which this doctrine was taught:
We have now come to understand that there is no such thing as ‘moderate Islam,
It is therefore time for the United States to make our true intentions clear. This barbaric ideology will no longer be tolerated. Islam must change or we will facilitate its self-destruction.
While Dooley provided a number of caveats, and stated that teaching materials were for the purpose of generating discussion, he came to the conclusion that:
Some of these actions offered for consideration here will not be seen as ‘political correct’ in the eyes of many,
Ultimately, we can do very little in the West to decide this matter, short of waging total war.
Among the slides in the teaching presentation, was a nuclear option, essentially bringing down Islam via the targeting of civilian populations:
This model presumes Geneva Convention IV 1949 standards of armed conflict…are now, due to the current common practices of Islamic terrorists, no longer relevant or respected globally. This would leave open the option once again of taking a war to a civilian population wherever necessary (the historical precedents of Dresden, Tokyo, Hiroshima, Nagasaki being applicable to the Mecca and Medina destruction…)
Following the revelations, America’s top army officer, Army Gen. Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, condemned the course and related anti-Islamic teachings, noting that Dooley was now under investigation.
